Two successful retreats..
I started the “Holistic Horsewoman’ weekend retreats to share what I’ve learned about mind and body wellness. Simple, yet powerful techniques to increase optimism, self awareness and control and physical fitness - balance, strength and flexibility. These changes are great for anyone, and for horsewomen - it can translate to a much deeper, more effective relationship with horses. Something I am constantly striving to achieve with my own horses.
I’ve been amazed and inspired by the changes in the women who attended. To their credit, they’ve continued with the program of daily meditation, visualisation, healthy eating and fitness, and it shows.
Everything starts with a clear Why.
Why make the changes needed to transcend limiting beliefs and fear? Why dedicate time to practice meditation, healthy eating and exercise?
If you have a strong why, like “I want to be my best self - happy, positive, healthy and in control of my emotional state” you can commit to the process, stick with it, and see the results.
Small steps, can take you a long way. You just have to keep making them.
The retreat program teaches mantra based meditation, breath awareness and control, visualisation techniques, dream design, understanding the brain and our cognitive biases, the power of a wholefood vegetarian way of eating and a simple effective exercise routine. While one weekend can only be an introduction, with curiousity and a desire for change, it can be the beginning of profound change.
I’m looking forward to the next one on October 29th and to beginning follow-up retreats in 2023.
